Customized snow retention plans (SRP), product lists and installation instructions are created for free for each project.

The quote team experts take into account key considerations such as the snow load for a region, roof pitch, roofing material and a variety of other factors when putting together a snow retention plan (diagram). Once created, the package from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards includes a product list, SRP diagram for placement of snow retention products and installation instructions. Products are then shipped free within the 48 contiguous United States.

According to Piontek, out of the more than 200 snow retention projects his company has completed, one of the most challenging involved reconfiguring 11 solar panels on a roof and adding Drift Solar 4-pipe Snow Fence. The solar panels had to be repositioned from a portrait to landscape orientation while its racking system was also transposed. The lower portion of the roof was recovered and the Drift Solar Snow Fence was added to safely handle the melting conditions of falling snow.

Designed specifically for snow retention below solar panel installations, the 12" tall, 4-pipe aluminum Drift Solar snow retention system ensures snow does not slip past it. The "reverse" installation of the brackets and use of ice screen creates and serves as a "catch basin" for the snow.
