Grand Prize Winner for Outstanding Residential Project

Once, twice, always a winner.  That's how the team at Umbrella Roofing - Eagle feels about their custom roofing job on Beaver Creek Mountain in Avon, Colorado.

Recently named the 2023 DaVinci Masterpiece Contractor Project of the Year Award winner, this beautiful roof is now a winner in our inaugural "Show Us Our Snow Guards" Contest.

"When you're installing composite roofing, you need a reliable snow retention system," says Josh Yandle, co-owner of Umbrella Roofing. "We've relied on the quality of DaVinci and RMSG for years to help us create outstanding roofing systems.  Together they work extremely well in high mountain altitudes.

"DaVinci brings the authentic look of shake to this roof, but with a fire- and impact-resistant product.  Then, to assure the homeowners don't experience avalanching snow, we installed RG16 snow guards and No-Flash II 2-pipe fence-style snow retention.  The combination of snow guards and snow fence is very effective in creating both an appealing-looking roof and one that offers incredibly safe features for our clients."

According to Jake Borah, co-owner of Umbrella Roofing, this particular residence represents some of the best work the company has ever done. "This is a complex roof system with lots of dormers, nooks and crannies," says Borah. "There are many lower sloped valleys with large facets that slope into them. We took extra steps with the roof installation and the snow retention system to assure the homeowners will enjoy a tight roof with no problems.
