S-5!® KHD Clamp

The S-5-KHD clamp stands for Klip-Rib® Heavy Duty. Designed mainly for new construction, but can be retrofitted for some applications. The most heavy-duty and durable clamp in the S-5! family, the KHD clamp fits the very distinctive KlipLok / Klip-Rib profiles of Lysaght Klip-Lok® 406 / McElroy Metal Mirage / AEP Span Klip-Rib® / Metal Sales Clip-Loc and similar concealed-fix profiles.

KHD is significantly stronger than anything else on the market for these profile types. The insert placed inside the intermediate seam provides for a holding capacity of more than 3,000 pounds. Such incredible strength requires fewer rows of snow retention than any other option.

New construction - S-5-KHD 6" insert available - installed as the roof goes on

Existing construction (retrofit installation) - S-5-KHD 3" insert available - slides into the rib at the eave

The KHD clamp can only be used at the eave location of pre-existing roofs. When more than one row of snow retention is needed, the S-5-K Grip Snow clamp can be used on the supplemental rows and does not require the in-seam insert.

Included stainless steel hardware consists of 4 setscrews and 1 M8 bolt.
